I’ve been tagged by blog friend (and real-life sorority sister) Sweet Bea! Shes my first real-life friend to join me in BlogLand, which I think is such fun.
Here are the rules:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open to page 56.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 2 to 5 sentences, along with these rules.
5. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual book. Pick the CLOSEST!
6. Tag five other people to do the same!
The closest book I have to me at this moment is the following:
Here’s the passage, contained in the section titled ‘Gestures’, under ‘Garments you should ALWAYS AVOID’:
“- sleeves so full that they sweep up everything in their path; and sleeves so narrow that is impossible to raise your arms high enough to comb your hair or to remove your hat.
– skirts so narrow that you have to pull them up to your thighs in order to climb into a bus: and skirts that ride up when you walk as if they were activated by some strange and diabolic mechanism. (Moral: try moving about and sitting down in your clothes before you buy them).
All of those should be ruthlessly banished from your wardrobe if you wish to be as elegant in action as you are in repose.
Do I dare go further and mention those unsightly gestures which immediate obliterate any image you may create of being well dressed?”
LOVE that book!
I’m going to go ahead and leave this one an open tag- anyone feel free to do this if they’re so inclined! Please comment back to me if you decide to do so, I’d love to read it!
